Parking

Have you considered your travel plans for Powderham Food Festival yet?

Parking is £8 per car and can be purchased with your tickets. However, we would MUCH prefer if you used a greener alternative such as the train, bus, river exe cycle path or even the ferry!

The Car Park is sign posted from the A379. Disabled parking is also available, please follow dedicated signs and present your blue badge in the window. Please park considerately and use public transport if you can.

The tractor & trailer ride will be in operation for the duration of the weekend, to transport you from the carpark to the event entrance gates (and back again when you’re too full to walk!)

Lost and Found

All lost property will be collected and kept safely at Festival Information. To arrange collection after the event please email FoodFestival@powderham.co.uk.

Family Meeting Point

The family meeting point will be at Festival Information, please point this out to your children and agree to meet here in the event you become separated. In the event that a child is separated from their parent for over 45 minutes a call will be made to Devon & Cornwall Police to assist with reuniting.

Accessibility

Newton Abbot Community Transport’s Shopmobility are pleased to provide wheelchairs and scooters to help less mobile people access and enjoy Powderham Food Festival.

Please visit the Accessibility page for all commitments the event will be making to ensuring the event is accessible to all.

Alcohol

No alcohol is allowed to be brought in to the festival grounds. There are bars on site, and traders for off-site consumption. All traders selling alcohol will operate a strict “Challenge 25 Policy”. Please make sure you have valid ID.

Payment methods

Most traders will take card payments, but we do advise bringing cash as the signal can be intermittent across the site.

The nearest free cash point is at Tesco Metro in Exminster.

GETTING TO POWDERHAM CASTLe

By Car

Follow signs to “Powderham Castle” or use the postcode EX6 8JQ
There is a specific events car park signposted, a parking ticket required on arrival.

By Bus

The No. 2 Stagecoach bus from Exeter/Newton Abbot/Torquay stops right outside the entrance at the top of the drive (Stop: Castle Gates)

By Rail

The nearest train station is Starcross, from there it’s about a 20 minute walk, or you can catch the bus (see above).

By Bike

The Exe Estuary Cycle path goes right past the castle grounds, and will take you straight to the festival. Hire a bike (or even a kayak!) with Saddles and Paddles to travel to the festival.

By Ferry

The Exmouth-Starcross Ferry is the ‘quickest route’ from Exmouth to Starcross, and departs hourly. Timetable and prices here.

In the case of poor weather either check Facebook for updates or call the ferry team to check that the service is running (07934 461672). Please note, this service is cash only.
