To all of our new and returning traders, welcome! Thank you for choosing us to trade with this year.

In 2023 we opened our gates to visitors, free of charge. With 14,000 people in attendance and some stands selling out by midday, the feedback from traders and ticket holders was overwhelmingly positive.

With the cost of living soaring, our aim in 2023 was to increase visitor numbers, as well as their spending with you - our incredible local traders. We are committed to continuing these efforts, and hope for PFF 2024 to be just as successful.

Prior to the pandemic, the 2019 Powderham Food Festival welcomed over 6,000 visitors. We recognised that high admission fees can deter customers and more than doubled that headcount in 2023.

We thank every single trader who has stuck with Powderham Food Festival since Covid, especially those who have persevered with us through the very wet and muddy show days.

We wish you a brilliant weekend of trading at the Powderham Food Festival 2024, and can’t wait to have you in the grounds this October. (Fingers crossed that the weather is kind to us, once again!)

Cant decide if the event is for you?

We always welcome Festival Feedback. We carefully curate our traders list, to ensure trading is fair and balanced and adjustments to site plans are made each year to ensure everyone has an enjoyable and successful event.

General feedback over past years was as follows;

  • Visitors appreciated the new layout, with improved walkways by using the estate tracks and paths. Therefore the Festival will continue to be held in the Castle Grounds and not the Deer Park.

  • The Riding School was appreciated by vendors, more lighting and better power supplies have now been added to the Riding School.

  • Visitor numbers lower since 2020s however the majority of traders reported that the festival was once again a profitable event and would look forward to returning.

  • Our fantastic welcome centre that opened in 2022, offers improved toilet facilities.

  • Over 90% of visitors explore inside the castle, during their visit. This year we are organising talks inside the castle. If you’d like to take advantage of this footfall and promote your business to visitors, please get in touch to schedule a talk about your business.
