Powderham Food Festival really is an event for every generation, with plenty to keep the children entertained. As well as our usual children’s entertainment from street performers to bouncy castles, we also feel it very important to add a food education element to the Festival. This year, as well as Fun Kitchen providing hands-on experience for children to create their own culinary creations, which they can take home and eat, we will also have a food education zone, introducing children to local produce.
Multi-award-winning food teacher, Joe Mann, will once again bring his fun, messy and educational cookery classes to Powderham Food Festival in the Fun Kitchen marquee. Perfect to keep the children entertained, while adding a large helping of learning, Fun Kitchen cookery classes first launched in response to the demands of school children for extra fun hands-on cookery classes and mix fun with finding out where their food comes from. Suitable for children of all ages, Fun Kitchen’s food cookery class workshops provide a safe, secure, and yes fun, environment for children to learn new skills, explore tastes and create fantastic food.
